The mouth that roared..

Here's something I screen-scraped over at Drudge today:
SHOCK: CNN Finishes Fourth on Election Night...
FOXNEWS: 4,043,000
MSNBC: 974,000
HLN: 842,000
CNN: 826,000

So, when you all get the blues because you think the resident psychotic over at MSNBC, Olbermann, or Rachel Maddow, or the other White House spokespersons are spewing lies to the public, consider that FOX has the potential to roll up more than a million more viewers than the three Ministries of ObamaSpeak combined.

Man, this must just burn their buns.

  1. I flipped back and forth between Fox and MSNBC on election night just to see the contrast. I certainly understand why Fox beats them all...not that I had any doubt in the first place.

  2. I was just telling my wife the other day that getting mad at MSNBC is like getting mad at something posted at the Democratic Underground: a complete waste of 4 seconds. Almost nobody watches MSNBC, and the people who do are kind of silly aren't they? :)

  3. As you both wisely point out: MSNBC is a vast wasteland with seemingly no redeeming value. Although, to be perfectly fair, many of us use Fox as an echo or reinforcement of our frustrations with Obama. It must be assumed that the folks that visit [P]MSNBC and the more slanted programs of CNN must use them as their echo chamber.

Therefore, it's instructive that the ratings are as they are. To say that Fox's 4,000,000 plus audience dwarfing the meager throng that the other three drag in is analogous to -- oh, say -- winning two gubernatorial races with millions of votes cast versus a congress seat where 150-200,000 votes were cast.

Which is more representative of the nation's feeling towards this administration's conduct, boys and girls.

I will grant that this is not a tightly constructed argument, but you know what I mean.

  4. Voyska, what do all these numbers tell us?

    2. ''WWE Raw'' (Monday, 10 p.m.), USA, 3.76 million homes, 5.75 million viewers.

    5. ''WWE Raw'' (Monday, 9 p.m.), USA, 3.53million homes, 5.41 million viewers.

    9. ''SpongeBob SquarePants'' (Saturday, 9:30 a.m.), Nickelodeon, 3.14 million homes, 4.33 million viewers.

Your going to fire me as your troll aren't you?

  5. ..that H. L. Mencken was right. ("You Will Never Go Broke Underestimating the Intelligence of the American Public.")

..and you, like any good Democrat back-bencher, have got the job for life.

Damn Voyska, I wish I had a government job. I wish I had military retirement. It's a racket I tell you.

What is up with your site and it's disdain for FireFox? Are you a MicroSoft lover?

  7. Ray,

Sorry there's no pay to go with that, but you can tell Obie-wan-ka-blama that he can jot this one down in his "saved" column.

As to browsers, I actually am using Opera which has its advantages except when its penchant for strictly observing rules runs it afoul of sites accommodated by the MS browser.

And count me in the group of equal-opportunity Bill Gates despisers except when it conflicts with my membership in the I-hate-Macs club.

Mac? You know, "the computer for the rest of them.

Thank God for that at least.

Seriously though, open FF and try doing a ctrl-c over selected text and it refuses to copy it. I have never seen that before except on this site.

All my neighbors work at the evil empire MS. Well at least 50 percent of them. And all are pretty proud of the fact. I live around 11 miles from Gates and the MS main campus.

  9. ..I have seen that happen on other sites but to my knowledge, there's nothing special that should prohibit that. For example, here's your post that i screen-scraped like you describe:

Maybe the html/asp does not like liberals.
