Wildly Inappropriate

It seems that our POSOTUS cannot do anything without stepping in it. In the wake of the tragedy at Fort Hood, Big Chief Wee-Wee (thank you, Illustrated Conservative) managed to rip off a few teleprompterless words with his size eleven wingtips clamped firmly between his lying lips. According to an article on the Chicago NBC website:
President Obama didn't wait long after Tuesday's devastating elections to give critics another reason to question his leadership, but this time the subject matter was more grim than a pair of governorships.
The article goes on to say:
..instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior's Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a "shout-out" to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow -- that Congressional Medal of Honor winner." Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

..who indeed?

UPDATE: Don't believe me? Too lazy to click on the NBC article.? Well, here's the real deal for your convenience:

Clearly, the POSOTUS's "My Pet Goat" moment. This guy is a walking horror show; totally inept, surrounded by clueless handlers, and the member of a tone deaf party who holds the American voter and American military in great disdain.

  1. There wasn't a teleprompter present. The remarks were off-the-cuff by the Commander-in-Chief, which means that Barack Hussein Obama was speaking from his heart (three sizes too small).

  2. "Who is advising him?"

Certainly not God, as He gave up on talking to presidents after w.

  3. This confirms suspicions about his malignant narcissism. Only a man so totally self absorbed would NEED to be advised how to offer prayers and condolences. This just shows what a goof ball we elected. He can pretend to be sympathetic, but he's not, and shows it in word and deed.

  4. It always galls me when people call them Medla of Honor "winners"....It's not a prize. It's the nation's highest award for valor in combat, and most often is awarded posthumously....dead people don't win things.

No one goes out and seeks the MoH, like it's a prize trinket. It's a medal, an award. It's...awarded.

Ugh. Then again, Obammy hasn't a clue, regardless of circumstance. Wildly inappropriate indeed, sir.

  5. Steve, well said. I knew a couple of people who were CMH recipients and they spoke nary a word about it.

Say, I think I am already a follower of your site from what i can see over there in the left-hand panel. If not, lemme know. I cannot tolerate someone like yourself with two vacant slots!

  6. LL, Candle, Opie, et al,

I was going to add that when Obama finally did get to his remarks about Fort Hood, he could not shut up, his inane prattle loaded with personal pronouns. I am also hearing that he had to do a "take two" at 0830 PST today.

Apropos of Ray's comment, W. - for all his faults - would have uttered a simple, respectful comment about the tragedy and how the nation grieves for the families of this incident and left it at that.

I am sorry Ray, I do not mean this to be a gratuitous bag on you because you are, truth be told, an exceptionally well-mannered - er - troll. (And even using the term is unkind and condescending of me because you have a lot to contribute.)

I disliked Obama when he was elected but was poised to give him a chane as our president. In my opinion, he has failed IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE JOB. Frankly, were he newly-hired employee and I were his boss, I would have fired him after three months for his laziness, carelessness, and inattention to the responsibilities of his job.

Now my dislike has coalesced into white hot enmity and distrust. It is my sincere hope that he tires of his office and abandons it prematurely.

  7. Obamas still learning. He'll do better. And the near economic collapse is new stuff, in that it's never really happened before.

"... his laziness, carelessness, and inattention to the responsibilities of his job."

Damn, I thought you were talking about w. Wasn't w the one with 6 hour workdays and the philosophy that just leave everything alone and it will all work out?
