Aftermath..

In the wake of the "first speech by Obama from the Oval office evah..", there have been some interesting reactions and observations. I thought I'd set up this post as an all-day collection point for me to slam my half-witted thoughts into inasmuch as i have a busy schedule. But to set the tone, I should like to call your attention to King's Jester's observations, to set the tone for the daily additions I might come up with (emphasis mine):

"Fifty-seven days into the crisis, oil continues to gush from the broken wellhead, millions of gallons a day, and the fact that Obama has not done anything to stem the leak has raised serious doubts about his leadership and his administration’s response to what Obama has called the nation’s worst environmental disaster."

..also, a colorful rant and interesting observation can be found over at Amusing Bunni's site (the sweetest blogger in the world with the saltiest language; I love her!) -- she opines that, while Ogabe was hitting the American public up for money (a new tax) he was sending out solicitation letters to get the funds for a new hitch in D.C.:

UPDATE ... UPDATE Well Well, bammy is at it again! Just a few hours after the Hindenburg speech, OFA, Obummer's website, sent me this e-mail: I will paste below, but I'm not linking the POS POTUS! SHAMEFUL, Begging for money again. THAT was the reason for his "speech". That and pushing crap & Tax, or whatever they're calling it now.

Git on over there and check it out, it's to delicious for words. More when I get this pesky app I am writing debugged and tested. BCNU.

BREAK IN THE ACTION: ..a pause in the debugging effort to call your attention to a great idea over at Left Coast Rebel. He calls it "Ten Buck Fridays" and it's about, well, let him explain it:

"Conceived over at Conscientiously Conservative, the idea is to encourage like-minded conservatives to give $10 per week (until election day) to principled conservative candidates who need help."

It's a great idea and I think I will be doing that as a gesture of my devotion to the prospect of flushing these turds. Won't you consider the same?

..now back to that hammered pointer.

IT TRICKLES IN: Rasmussen's Daily Tracking (summary link over on the right there) reports that Obama has slipped to his lowest approval numbers since his inauguration. Here's as sample of Scott Rasmussen's pronouncement:

Overall, 42% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-seven percent (57%) now disapprove. Those are the lowest ratings yet recorded for this president. The president’s approval rating has held steady in the 46% - 47% range for six months and it remains to be seen whether this new low is merely statistical noise or the start of a lasting change.

My question is why is his approval still in the 40s and the "exit quesiton" as Allapundit is wont to say, is when will it hit the 30s?

  2. Ahhhhh, War Planner, thanks for the kind words! You really made my day. I'm glad I stopped by before I went out for my yard work. Your blog is great too, we are like minded in our dislike (to put it mildly) for the golden pantload. I'm so happy Odie directed me to your site.

You are on my esteemed blogroll too!
I see you linked me to my secret, little know experimental website (I hardly ever go on that). You did some research, which is great....hee hee. If you care to change the link to my official site, http://amusingbunni.blogspot.com/ that would be much appreciated. Let the people ferret the bunny philosophy out on their own initiative ;-) Have a fun day.

  3. Odie; regrettably they will hold onto him until he is pried from their cold, dead hands!

Bunny, I never research anything! I just blunder ahead blindly..as I did in this case. I fixed the link -- so let me know if it's o.k.

  4. Hi Again WP, link is perfect now. One of these days I want to add more content and stuff to that site. Tomorrow never comes, so many other projects. I mainly claimed the name (free) for if I ever wanted to sell anything commercially.

LL is so right....that Greene guy at least is more qualified than obungalama,
he was born in the USA ( I'm guessing ).

  7. I was glad to have received the nudge from you and LCR. It's a habit I plan on getting in to. I especially like the suggestion of brown bagging it to save the money. Now that Mrs War Planner is back form Japan, I'll do that because she makes the best sammiches!

..I think I have it, but just in case, the e-mail is k6whp@socal.rr.com if you like. Hell, that's my e-mail even if you don't like.

Yeah, Bunni, something didn't look right when I added it the first time. Glad to get it right this time because you got some interesting stuff over there.
