Aftermath..

In the wake of the "first speech by Obama from the Oval office evah..", there have been some interesting reactions and observations. I thought I'd set up this post as an all-day collection point for me to slam my half-witted thoughts into inasmuch as i have a busy schedule. But to set the tone, I should like to call your attention to King's Jester's observations, to set the tone for the daily additions I might come up with (emphasis mine):

"Fifty-seven days into the crisis, oil continues to gush from the broken wellhead, millions of gallons a day, and the fact that Obama has not done anything to stem the leak has raised serious doubts about his leadership and his administration’s response to what Obama has called the nation’s worst environmental disaster."

..also, a colorful rant and interesting observation can be found over at Amusing Bunni's site (the sweetest blogger in the world with the saltiest language; I love her!) -- she opines that, while Ogabe was hitting the American public up for money (a new tax) he was sending out solicitation letters to get the funds for a new hitch in D.C.:

UPDATE ... UPDATE Well Well, bammy is at it again! Just a few hours after the Hindenburg speech, OFA, Obummer's website, sent me this e-mail: I will paste below, but I'm not linking the POS POTUS! SHAMEFUL, Begging for money again. THAT was the reason for his "speech". That and pushing crap & Tax, or whatever they're calling it now.

Git on over there and check it out, it's to delicious for words. More when I get this pesky app I am writing debugged and tested. BCNU.

BREAK IN THE ACTION: ..a pause in the debugging effort to call your attention to a great idea over at Left Coast Rebel. He calls it "Ten Buck Fridays" and it's about, well, let him explain it:

"Conceived over at Conscientiously Conservative, the idea is to encourage like-minded conservatives to give $10 per week (until election day) to principled conservative candidates who need help."

It's a great idea and I think I will be doing that as a gesture of my devotion to the prospect of flushing these turds. Won't you consider the same?

..now back to that hammered pointer.

IT TRICKLES IN: Rasmussen's Daily Tracking (summary link over on the right there) reports that Obama has slipped to his lowest approval numbers since his inauguration. Here's as sample of Scott Rasmussen's pronouncement:

Overall, 42% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-seven percent (57%) now disapprove. Those are the lowest ratings yet recorded for this president. The president’s approval rating has held steady in the 46% - 47% range for six months and it remains to be seen whether this new low is merely statistical noise or the start of a lasting change.

My question is why is his approval still in the 40s and the "exit quesiton" as Allapundit is wont to say, is when will it hit the 30s?
