Sharron Angle, following her come-from-behind Republican Primary win Tuesday, has bounced to an 11-point lead over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada’s closely-watched U.S. Senate race. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada, taken Wednesday night, shows Angle earning 50% support while Reid picks up 39% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
Somewhere in the depth of copy or blizzard of polling information on this race, I heard that Reid has never polled over 42% and that's with 100% recognition. (That is, everyone in Nevada knows what an a**hole he is.) I am given to understand that this is a sure sign of death for a politician. However, we cannot stop here; a week is an eternity in politics, etc. So it's your chance to drive a stake through this idiot's heart.
The cool thing is that she is a product of the Tea Party Movement and nothing the TingleMeister over at MSNBC can do or say will detract from her dumping Dingy Harry's ass into Lake Mead. The other cool thing is that she is getting support from out-of-state. (Read: you, me, LCR, and RightKlik, and the mob.) According to BEFORE IT'S NEWS:
Angle also is beginning to draw financial support as well. She reported on her webpage nearly a million dollars in contributions since the primary.
I received a nice thank you from RightKlik, but I must tell you that the paltry sum I gave to her campaign felt good and, with the help of Mrs War Planner's sammiches, it's going to keep on feeling good up to and including November 2nd when these clowns get flushed.
Oh Yea, so far away ... I live right on the border of Nevada. We do our major shopping in Reno. I also get my talk radio there. Yes, Nevada talk radio with my ear hearing some pretty profound morons.
ReplyDeleteThere is a group of pretty prominent Republicans (RINOs) endorsing Reid. One to say the least is the last governor. They call themselves Republicans for Reid. So far no one is paying any attention to them.
Others, so called conservatives, are calling the afternoon talk show and saying Angle is too conservative. WTF ... We eat our own it seems. She's doing all the local talk shows first trying to reunite her base. So far I'm happy to report, it seems to be working. I guess that's what has to happen after a primary with 11 candidates.
Thanks for the links!
ReplyDeleteAngle will needs lots of help. This will be a nasty fight. Dems know Reid's loss would be another big repudiation of the Obama agenda.
Odie,
ReplyDeleteCan't speak for the Nevada GOP RINOs but I'll bet the folks you hear are seminar callers -- so-called plants to instill doubt in Angle voters. That is probably one of the few avenues of strategy that Reid has available to him if he's at the 100% recognition/39% approval level. That and a low profile in the Senate until November.
Rightklik, we may have an uphill (er..downhill/uphill) battle on our hands, but the Dems will be pouring a lot of money into that race and other races and your $10 Friday program to bring grassroots money into them will be a factor in diluting their effort.
Of course, we will not win them all but diluting the Dem's money pool in a bad year might just help. And a victory over Reid is the most high profile and cost-effective triumph.
Like when your favorite team has a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning; it's nice but you still have to play six more to get the win.
