Rhymes with "DUCK"..

This is a mean post because I am in a mean mood and want to be mean..
"..two dozen, extra long, ribbed, with the reservoir tip, please.."
I am, in fact, old enough to be this young woman's GRANDfather much less her father, so I don't want to unload on this unfortunate, poverty-stricken diaphragm-deprived wench. But, I keep hearing and reading these news report about her -- most recently over at Hot Air in another fusillade by their vestal ingenue, Tina Korbe -- where Ms Fluke enunciates her intent NOT to STFU, outgassing the usual liberal, victim effluvia:
These attempts to silence women and the men who support them have clearly failed. I know this because I have received so many messages of support from across the country — women and men speaking out because they agree that contraception needs to be treated as a basic health care service.

Who are these supporters?

They are women with polycystic ovarian syndrome, who need contraception to prevent cysts from growing on their ovaries, which if unaddressed can lead to infertility and deadly ovarian cancer. They are sexual assault victims, who need contraception to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

They are Catholic women, who see no conflict between their social justice -based faith and family planning. They are new moms, whose doctors fear that another pregnancy too soon could jeopardize the mother’s health and the potential child’s health too. They are mothers and grandmothers who remember all too well what it was like to be called names decades ago, when they were fighting for a job, for health care benefits, for equality.

They are husbands, partners, boyfriends and male friends who know that without access to contraception, the women they care about can face unfair obstacles to participating in public life. And yes, they are young women of all income levels, races, classes and ethnicities who need access to contraception to control their reproduction, pursue their education and career goals and prevent unintended pregnancy. And they will not be silenced.
Permit a rasty digression from my main rant. Who are these men supporters? Hmmmm. I wonder who they could be? I mean, if I remember my misspent youth, my days in college and my nascent drunken Air Force career correctly -- and it becomes more difficult with each passing day -- these would be guys like me. You know the type, basically a huge, perpetually erect male organ stapled to an emaciated, pimple covered body in search of an -- ahem -- empty parking slot for the night.

"Uh. Yeah, sweetie. We need you to get on the pill so I don't I have to take responsibility for my warp-9 sex hyperdrive. And I don't got no bread, so the gummint has to pay for it."

(I can conjure up mental images of Scotty speaking to Captain Kirk now: "Och! Hoot mon! We've got all our power to the shields, Captain. I dinnae know if I can hold her together! Any minute now, she'll fly apart!")

Anyway, back to my main point which is the many, many times I have heard this woman's name uttered in talk-show and television pieces? It's always the same. Her name is pronounced like it rhymes with..

..or "pluck", or "stuck", or "muck" or..well, you get my drift.

Besides, any decent electronics technician knows that it should be pronounced, um, you know, like it rhymes with:

..I'm outta here.

Just the numb..

..feeling that this woman might be with us for the next four years. (Frankly, these feckless images of her are etched into my mind for all eternity.)

Pardon me while I take a gratuitous and "schadenfreudistic" swipe at the FIRST MOOCHER -- material courtesy 1LT "Sky" King, my deputy squadron commander with his his commentary and captions:

The fashionista First Lady
The Boob Belt..
..another Boob Belt..
..more of same..
..and the hits just keep on coming..
..and finally, it makes an appearance at the Tomb of the Unknown.
..and ONE MORE TIME!
The  Peacock Dress..
..and the Pinata Dress.
Left to right: Princess Letizia of Spain , French First Lady Carla Bruni and,
yeppers, you guessed it – Madame Double Wide herself – sleeveless, no less!

This all adds up to our beloved, endearing, WIDE LOAD FLOTUS. What more can be said?

ANDREW BREITBART, 1969-2012

Words..fail.

Andrew Breitbart is dead at age 43, our merry prankster as Hot Air's Ed Morrissey calls him, has passed away from natural causes today. I still reel at the news and cannot write anything substantive. Perhaps later when my sadness abates. I refer you to a previous post I did (not that that has any special merit) and his words below in a speech given at this past month's CPAC:

God give you rest and comfort from your battles, Andrew, and his blessing.

Slumberin' Joe from Hannibal, Mo..

Bloviatin' Joe is at it again.Doncha just love it how these pols line the backdrop with fawning sycophants when they crank out the balloon juice? Well, my take is that the current regime is running on fumes and is sticking any old schlumpf in the risers behind Joe and The Chicago jesus. Check out this pick and then the video below and watch the stiff to the left of Plugs struggle to stay awake:

"Joe bloviates while a strange subliminal buzzing sound creeps into the mic.."
Here's the video:

..can't blame him; just hope he does not operate heavy machinery or drives while listening to this idiot.

You do the math II..

All of the ObamaBots and those who swooned over this incredibly worthless POTUS are having a fit of the vapors now that they perceive the economy to be "coming back".

The main theme of all of their Hosannas seems to be the unemployment stats the BLS publishes -- it's now trending downward towards 8.0% but still above the unemployment rate during this clown's regime. (And that occurred on the day he was inaugurated.)

Anyway, this is illusory -- all Bravo Sierra -- as it's a denominator diminution driving this. Here is a hady little graphic from the very same BLS that you should show your Skittle-crapping unicorn friends:

"Doin' the Limo Rock: how low can you go?.."

A recent article in Forbes magazine unwraps all of this rotting fish. They come up with different numbers than the BLS, but the message is still the same (emphasis mine):
When Barack Obama entered office in January, 2009, the labor force participation rate was 65.7%, meaning nearly two-thirds of working age Americans were working or looking for work.

When the recession supposedly officially ended in June, 2009, the labor force participation rate was still 65.7%.

In the latest, much celebrated, unemployment report, the labor force participation rate had plummeted to 63.7%, the most rapid decline in U.S. history. That means that under President Obama nearly 5 million Americans have fled the workforce in hopeless despair.

The trick is that when those 5 million are not counted as in the work force, they are not counted as unemployed either. They may desperately need and want jobs. They may be in poverty, as many undoubtedly are, with America suffering today more people in poverty than in the entire half century the Census Bureau has been counting poverty. But they are not even counted in that 8.3% unemployment rate that Obama and his media cheerleaders were so tirelessly celebrating last week.

If they were counted, the unemployment rate today would be a far more realistic 11%, better reflecting the suffering in the real economy under Obamanomics.

Just last month, while the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported finding 243,000 new jobs, they also reported in the same release that an additional 1.2 million workers had dropped out of the work force altogether, giving up hope under Obama. If labor force participation had remained the same in January, 2012 just as it was the month before in December, 2011, the unemployment rate would have risen to 8.7% in January rather than supposedly declining to 8.3% as reported.
It shows that the labor workforce participation (the number of people "available" to work started it's slide mid-2008 but decreased precipitously since January 2009 and has remained chugging along below 59% since then.

These are the people who -- owing to one reason or another, mainly because they could not find work -- have given up and packed it in.

Why?

I dunno. My hope is that these folks will NOT be pulling the lever for this turd-in-chief who passes himself off as our POTUS.
